I love love LOVE graphic design work and getting the opportunity to help my incredibly talented friends further their business. Today I got the chance to put together my friend Katelyn's new website (she makes custom jewelry with holistic crystals that is to DIE for and up till now has just been selling off of instagram), and I had so much fun!
Katelyn and her boyfriend are both gifted artists. She makes jewelry and he does tattoos! She reached out to me earlier this week with a request: could I put together a squarespace site where she could display her pieces and let customers contact her for new ones? She had a color scheme in mind (black and white, which lets the beautiful color of each piece of jewelry stand on its own) and her logo was ready to go, so all I had to do was plug it all in and do a little CSS tweaking.
I can't even begin to explain how excited I am for this girl to have a website up. Everyone has been begging her to create an Etsy so she can handle larger order quantities, and now she's got one better: her own domain and site complete with a gallery, contact and order page, and more info on the pieces she's already sold.
Get your wallets ready, you can check out her site, www.prettyxtwisted.com, later this week!
